Smoothies are great snacks. They are perfect for when you don't want to eat anything heavy or need a quick energy boost. Smoothies are also great if you're trying to lose weight because it's rare that they will contain more than 250 calories. There are hundreds of recipes out there, but here is one that I like to make often:

 

-1 banana

-2 cups of strawberries (frozen work best)

-1 cup of fresh pineapple chunks (frozen work best) -1 teaspoon ground ginger -1 tablespoon honey -3/4 cup no sugar added coconut milk 

-add water up if needed for desired consistency. Blend until smooth, and enjoy!

 

A blender is a perfect tool to use to make homemade smoothies. The best type of blender for making smoothies is a high-powered one. There are three easy steps to creating healthy, delicious fruit and protein-packed smoothie in your blender:

 

 

1) Add fruit puree and liquid into the jar of your blender 2) Add ice 3) Blend until ice cubes have completely disappeared

You can also add any nut or seed butter that you want at this point.

 

All you need for this recipe is two cups of strawberries, one peeled banana, one cup of fresh pineapple chunks and half a cup of water. First, put the fruit into your blender and then add the water. Blend on high until smooth. This breakfast smoothie is perfect for those mornings where you're short on time!
